Skinny Lads Moving was founded by two college students who started hauling furniture as a side hustle and never looked back. Two years later we are a fully operating moving company serving Madison and the surrounding area.
But the real reason we started goes deeper than that. We worked in the moving industry before starting Skinny Lads and saw firsthand why it has a bad reputation. We watched dishonest movers take advantage of people — and it hit close to home when someone in our own family was affected by it. That stuck with us.
So we started Skinny Lads to do it differently. Transparent pricing, a crew that actually cares, and movers who treat your belongings like they are their own. We got our first customers from Facebook and word of mouth and two years later we are still growing on the same foundation.
